Thanks to BHSP friends — donors, members, sponsors, neighbors, volunteers and champions — the partial restoration of Historic Bath High School has opened doors to greatly needed services for the area. With the help of our friends, ongoing restorations will bring more opportunities to serve the community.

Community Library

Staying true to its historical roots as the first public library, the Bath Community Library moved into the renovated Historic Bath High School in 2014. The library offers activities for kids of all ages, free WIFI, photocopying, reference and interlibrary loans, and much more.

Historic Bath Exhibit Center & Gift Shop

The Historic Bath Exhibit Center opened early 2018 after extensive renovations sponsored by the Historic Bath Foundation, Inc.
The Exhibit Center houses a gift shop and two rotating exhibits. Visit Free of charge! The exhibit Center is also a great venue for special events and small conferences. All proceeds from the gift shop benefit Historic Bath Commission.
Currently on display at the Historic Bath Exhibit Center: North Carolina in WWI and Select Maps & Prints from the Gene & Susan Roberts Collections.
Hours: Tue- Sat, 10 am to 4 pm

Overboard Learning Center & After School Care

An afterschool program (in Pirate Hall) for Bath Elementary School students. Students receive homework assistance, tutoring, physical exercise, cultural enrichment and enjoy many other activities.

Senior Center

The Historic Bath Senior Center (in Pirate Hall) is dedicated to supporting healthy aging through quality programs and services.

Summer Farmers Market

One of the only sources of fresh produce in Bath, the Summer Farmer’s Market (in the Old Gym) offers fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, yard sale items and fresh cut flowers. Other items for sale include homemade pies, cheese biscuits, sausage balls, herbs and flowers, fresh eggs and handcrafted decor.  Sales benefit BHSP. Vendor space available.

Hours: Saturdays, 8 am to 11 am, June through the end of August.
